Two new poems

Couple of late drafts of some new stuff.

Any feedback appreciated.

Clothes of my family

On the line

Animated by summer breeze

GONE

Though she’s gone, she’s left

Her clothes still hanging on the line,

Dirty clothes in the laundry pile

A book bookmarked beside the bed

A left over snack in the fridge

Lipstick mark on a tea cup

The TV still tuned to the last station she watched

Half a glove knitted

The ghost of a smiley face drawn in a foggy mirror

For fun, with their daughter before school

Slippers waiting to be worn

Sun visor down in the car

That she chose not to take

As she walked away from home

For the last time
