Received this message tonight from Bahrain. I interviewed Nabeel recently by Skype for an article on the Bahrain F1 (posted below). I sincerely hope this man of peace will be released soon by the Bahraini authorities.
“Nabeel Rajab, BCHR (Bahrain Center for Human Right) president, was taken to court today were he faced charges of illegal gathering. Rajab denied the charges and was taken back to AlHoora police station where he has been kept since his arrival to Bahrain yesterday. Today he will be taken to the public prosecution where he should be informed of the charges against him which caused his arrest.
Nabeel Rajab’s arrest comes after the foreign minister of Bahrain, Khalid Alkhalifa, threatened him after an interview with the BBC….”
